Share Poison Safety and Prevention Information with Your Community by:
· Integrating the Illinois Poison Center (IPC) materials and hot line number (1-800-222-1222 stickers and magnets) into your current teachings and trainings.
· Contacting the IPC and/or local satellite education center for upcoming events (312.906.6125).
· Contacting a community organization and ask how you can share/distribute materials and information.
Ideas for Distributing IPC Information:
· Display IPC information on tables/counters in lobby of hospitals, centers, schools, public transportation, pharmacies
· Hang posters in the hallways, bathrooms, kiosks
· Distribute information in/at:
Classrooms
Health fairs (participate in and/or coordinate)
Payroll stuffers
Welcome/release/thank you packets for parents, patients, members, employees
Parent-teacher meetings
Community group meetings
Church socials
Corporate functions
Senior/older adult socials
Grocery stores
Sporting events
Movie theaters
· Integrate IPC information into:
School safety and health discussions/curriculum
School assemblies
Hospital, health care programs
Health trainings and presentations
