This list contains garden plants that are mildly and moderately toxic. Some of these plants can cause skin rash or irritation, which may be very serious and painful. Others can cause minor symptoms, such as vomiting or diarrhea. Always call the Illinois Poison Center at 1-800-222-1222 if you suspect an ingestion, skin, eye or other exposure from a plant on this list.
